Mohamed Bradja

Mohamed "Momo" Bradja, (born November 16, 1969 in Troyes) is a former French-Algerian footballer. He played for Algeria at the 2002 African Cup of Nations. He is currently assistant manager at Troyes AC.
==Career==
Born in Troyes, he began playing football at his hometown club. Due to the lack of stability since the bankruptcy of Troyes Aube Football, he left in 1986 to join US Valenciennes as a trainee. After two seasons, failing to win a professional contract, he came back to Troyes and to the newly created Troyes AC, at regional level. He helped the club achieving promotions from National 2 to Ligue 2 in only 6 years. A very professional player, he was very popular, and kindly nicknamed 'Momo' by the fans. He gained a professional contract with the club, and, three years after, secured the promotion of the club to the French top flight, Ligue 1, for the first time in almost 20 years. Even if he played less during the next seasons, he regain his place in the first team, and became an Algerian international player, thanks to his Algerian origins. He played during the game opposing France to Algeria, which was actually lost 4-1 by Algeria, and was also part of the team who played the African Cup of Nations in 2002. With Troyes, he also played European football, winning Intertoto Cup in 2001 over Newcastle United. He stopped his career at the end of the season 2002-2003, when Troyes finished bottom of the Ligue 1 and was relegated to Ligue 2. He also captained the team on several occasions.
